Submissions Policy

Arête Book Group has an open submissions policy. We will read and review unagented queries in the following genres: mystery, adventure, romatic suspense, middle-grade adventure, and young adult mystery. We will also accept nonfiction climbing and canyoneering proposals. At this time, we will not review any submissions that do not fit into these genres.

 

We read every query or proposal received, and if you've piqued our interest, we'll email you for further details. Please see our submissions details page for more information.

 

You may send your work to other publishers at the same time. We don't require exclusive submissions.

 

A few notes that we simply have to add:

 

We're language snobs.

 

If there are spelling, punctuation, or grammatical errors in your query or proposal, you'll receive a form rejection. Please be sure to proofread your submission and have someone else look at it, too. Two sets of eyes are always better than one.
